Several artists were gathered at Pony Pasture Rapids Park today to catch some of the early autumn foliage on a beautiful late summer day. The river grasses have begun to turn yellowish and the Sycamore trees are dropping their leaves. The river level is so low that it might be easier to count the stars in the night sky than to count the exposed rocks. Still, I did spot one man snorkeling in the main rapid that runs through Pony Pasture.
