Volunteer Day: Help restore the Pump House

The Friends of James River Park‘s mission is to provide an ongoing source of citizen support for the conservation, enhancement, and enjoyment of the James River Parks and their natural and historical environments. Volunteers will help restore a section of the James River Canal and help return the ballroom in the old Pump House to its glory days as a venue for social events.

Specific Tasks include cutting and hauling brush from a dry canal bed and cleaning and painting the Pump House ballroom. The minimum age for volunteers is 16 years old.  All volunteers under the age of 18 are required to bring a signed copy of the Youth Waiver form to the project in order to participate.

WHEN: Saturday, October 16, 9:00AM – 2:30PM
