The Reedy Creek Meadow is getting a wildflower makeover. Nathan Burrell, trails manager for James River Park will be leading a group of HandsOn Greater Richmond volunteers — including many children — Saturday morning to plant plenty of new seeds!
From Laura Pilati of HandsOn: We will spend most of the time spreading wildflower seed, which will require a lot of walking…so wear good shoes! If time allows, we may also help with the ongoing task of clearing the invasive ivy that is taking over tree population in this area.
James River News Hub will be there taking photos for HandsOn (and for this blog and for the James River Guidebook), planting seeds and whatever else there is in store.
